The BSC is assembling in the rehearsal room today about to do a run of Tom Gates in front of the author Liz Pichon, her agent at David Higham, her publisher Scholastic, our publicists and the BSC office team. It’s the first time any of them will have seen what we’ve been doing for five weeks. There’s still a while to go before we open – two weeks today! Next week we move to the theatre in Horsham to start the technical and dress rehearsals before the world premiere performance on Valentine’s Day.

The BSC has taken a stand this morning against outrageous charges being levied against the people of Leeds simply to go the theatre. Gangsta Granny will be the last show we take to Leeds Grand until they review their bookings fees and restoration levies. The Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post agree!
