WEST END TO FESTIVAL

28 August 2021

It was our last show at the Apollo today and we had a fabulous audience to send us off. I had one of those lovely experiences when you chance upon a new way into a scene that works beautifully. It’s actually one of the scenes we’ve been doing for three years, but listening to the scene’s introduction I suddenly had a thought that changed my approach to the character and it got a bigger reaction from the audience. It’s interesting how often you make these discoveries during the last performance, when you’re playing with the show a little bit more. Tomorrow we’re at the Big Feastival which we’re really looking forward to doing – there’s nothing quite like a festival audience when you’re on the big stage. And the weather is looking good!
