So I listen to the Today programme every morning, read a broadsheet most days, watch C4 News and Newsnight most evenings and when it comes to reaching a decision about whether to stay in or out of the EU…I have absolutely no idea whatsoever.

It’s a hugely complicated decision involving facts and figures on both sides which I have struggled to pick apart. I cannot see how I can come to anything other than an opinion based on my own personal likes and dislikes of a situation of which I have very little in-depth understanding. And nothing anyone is saying is making it any easier.

Why does anyone want to know what I think about such a momentous decision when I haven’t got a clue?
