Inside The Theatre

Wheelchair access to the theatre foyer is via a ramp to the right of the main entrance and through a set of automated doors.  Once in the foyer, there is level access to the bar, coffee shop, patio and disabled toilet.  Entrance to the auditorium is via ramped corridors on both the Box Office and Bar sides of the foyer.

Most of the seating within the auditorium is of the traditional raked amphitheatre style with steps to each row.  The upper seating and steps are steep and without handrails.  Customers with mobility difficulties may wish to avoid this area.

Wheelchair users are accommodated in up to 8 licensed spaces, 4 each side of the front rows, adjacent to ramped emergency exits.  Additional seating is provided next to these spaces for a companion.

If you require particular seating arrangements to accommodate any difficulties you may have in attending performances please contact the Box Office on 020 8561 8371.

Customers using large motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters to access the theatre should inform the Box Office at the time of booking or where tickets have not been pre-booked, immediately upon arrival.  Our staff will advise you on where you can park your mobility scooter.

The Box Office is briefed on production style and content of performances and information is offered in good faith however, please be aware that the creative elements of a live performance may not have been finalised at the time of booking and may even be changed during the performance day.  Warning notices advising of the use of stroboscopic lighting effects and pyrotechnic explosives are displayed in the entrance foyer on the day of the performances concerned.

Hearing Assistance

The theatre auditorium has an Induction Loop System - this technology uses an invisible magnetic field to match the sound.  You can pick up this signal by setting your hearing aid or loop listening aid to 'T', adjust your hearing aid volume in the usual way.  The loop system is checked regularly to ensure that it is operating correctly.

However, in the unlikely event that you experience any difficulty, please report the matter to a member of staff immediately.  For details of Signed Performances please contact the Box Office or see specific shows on our website.

Visual Assistance

Pre-performance tours of the stage and set for patrons with visual impairments can be organised for individuals or small groups.  Please contact us in advance to arrange a mutually convenient time.
