After graduating from University of Exeter in 1991, Matt headed north to work in the Birmingham Hippodrome. Whilst there he was able to catch some of the early work created by Birmingham Stage Company. In 1995 Matt moved to Cardiff and stayed for 21 years at the New Theatre, where he ended up as Programming & Marketing Manager. In that time he had the pleasure of seeing many of the Birmingham Stage Company’s shows as they passed through the Welsh capital.

Matt joined Birmingham Stage as the company turned 25, now as it marks 30 years of performing he's just as delighted to be here!
